RSM visual identity refresh prize draw - terms and conditions

  1. By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.
  2. The prize draw is run by the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM).

Eligibility to enter 

  1. The prize draw is open to entrants over 18 years of age and studying medicine, dentistry, or veterinary science or a healthcare related subject.
  2. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
  3. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
  4. The prize draw is free to enter.

How to enter 

  1. The prize draw will open to entries on Friday 4 April and will close on Wednesday 16 April, one day before the online session takes place on Thursday 17 April. Entries after that time and date will not be included in the draw.
  2. To enter the prize draw entrants must attend one of the online interactive sessions. The session will be recorded, and attendees noted.
  3. The RSM will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.

The prize 

  1. The prize will be one free RSM Student membership, valid for 12 months, if membership eligibility criteria are met.
  2. The winner will be drawn at random.
  3. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
  4. The decision of the RSM regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

Winner announcement 

  1. The winner will be notified after Monday 21 April via the email used to register for the online session.
  2. The RSM will attempt to contact the winner by email up to two times.
  3. The winner must confirm their eligibility for RSM student membership within 10 days of the second email. Failure to do so will result in them losing their right to the prize, and the RSM reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.

Receipt of the prize 

  1. Once eligibility for RSM student membership has been confirmed, please allow up to 5 days for joining instructions to be provided via email.
  2. Once joining instructions have been received by winner, they will have 10 days to claim their prize.

Data protection and publicity 

  1. You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by the RSM for the purposes of administering the prize draw, and for those purposes as defined within our Privacy Policy.
  2. All entrants may apply for details of the winning participant by contacting us at media@rsm.ac.uk
  3. The winner agrees to the release of their first name and course they’re studying to any other prize draw participants if requested via the RSM.
  4. All personal information shall be used in accordance with the RSM’s Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability 

  1. The RSM does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize, save that the RSM does not exclude its liability for death or personal injury as a result of its own negligence.
  2. The RSM does not provide any form of practical or IT support for this prize. On receipt, all responsibilities relating to the product are that of the prize winner.

General 

  1. The RSM reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
  2. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
