The Royal Society of Medicine is renowned among medical students and trainee doctors for its programme of competitive prizes and bursaries. In the last 10 years, more than 1,100 awards were given to students and trainees wishing to make their mark on the world of medicine and healthcare.
Encouraging would-be competitors to enter for a prestigious RSM prize or bursary, Professor Mary Bishop, RSM Director of Learning said: “Often, winning a prize will culminate in the opportunity to present your work to influential clinicians and researchers, offering the chance for recognition and a major career boost.
“The process itself is enormously helpful. Submitting an application helps students and trainees to reflect on their skills and career progress and, potentially, acquire valuable feedback about their work,” she added.
