Paying tribute to His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the President of the Royal Society of Medicine, Professor Roger Kirby, said: "Speaking on behalf of the Trustees, Senior Management Team and all the members and fellows of the Royal Society of Medicine, I would like to convey our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to Her Majesty the Queen and all the Royal Family following the death of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, who was one of our esteemed Honorary Fellows.

"His inspirational presence will be sadly missed by all of us in the UK and in the Commonwealth and beyond."
