Everyone at the Royal Society of Medicine is looking forward to welcoming back our members and guests when the current pandemic restrictions are relaxed. Here we explain when the RSM Library, Club and Domus are likely to re-open and how we intend to re-commence our in-person education programmes.
Our priority, as always, is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our staff and visitors.
These plans may change, depending on government announcements, but we intend to re-open from Monday 17 May 2021, when our members will be able to:
We will be limiting capacity in all areas of our building in line with government restrictions and will publish more information about our opening hours, menus and safety protocols nearer the time. Please keep an eye on our website, social media channels and member emails over the next few weeks.
We are also planning to re-start our programme of in-person educational events. From Monday 17 May delegates will be able to attend some in-person academic meetings, which will be located in specially configured rooms with limited capacity to keep delegates safe. As the government announces further relaxations on restrictions, we will assess the potential to increase capacity.
More information will be shared as events are scheduled.
We will be making great efforts to ensure that all our members, their guests, visitors and our staff continue to remain safe when using the building, and we have the added assurance of three industry accreditations for providing COVID-secure hospitality services.
While we continue our planning for a successful re-opening, we remain very grateful for the continued understanding and support from all our members during the past very challenging months.
