On 21 May, Dr Sarah Filson led a discussion during the RSM’s ‘COVID-19 Series: BAME patients and COVID-19' with Dame Donna Kinnair, Chief Executive and General Secretary of the Royal College of Nursing, and Professor Kevin Fenton, Regional Director at PHE London and Regional Director of Public Health, NHS London. The focus for the webinar was an exploration of the evidence behind how black, Asian and ethnic minority patients are being disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
They discussed the new government inquiry led by Professor Fenton, and what needs to be done to better address the risks to patients and staff.
A recording of the webinar is available to watch below and on the RSM’s YouTube channel.
