Access to focused pleural ultrasound training has become increasingly challenging, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic. With respiratory training requiring formal sign-off for pleural ultrasound, and over 1,000 trainees needing to complete a course within their four-year registrar programme, the demand for high-quality, accessible training is greater than ever. This course aligns with the British Thoracic Society's pathway for competency, equipping participants with the essential skills to perform pleural ultrasound safely and effectively in clinical practice.

Designed to meet this critical need, the course offers hands-on learning with real patients and healthy volunteers, helping attendees build confidence and add cases to their logbooks. By the end of the course, participants will feel prepared to integrate pleural ultrasound into their practice, improving safety and outcomes for pleural interventions. Spaces are limited, so book now to secure your place.

Participants will be able to:

  • Acquire the required skills to utilise pleural ultrasound effectively
  • Improve the use of pleural ultrasound in healthcare settings to enable high-quality patient care
  • To train in the use of ultrasound to recognise pleural disease
