Femi Oyebode and Horatio Clare, joint presenters of BBC Radio 4 series ‘Is Psychiatry Working?’, will join Dr Gordana Milavic for this thought-provoking Mind Matters webinar.
The presenters of the successful six-part BBC series, now commissioned for a second series, will be joined by Dr Gordana Milavic to discuss the most important and critical issues in psychiatry today.
Following the same structure as ‘Is Psychiatry Working?’, Femi Oyebode and Horatio Clare will discuss with participants a range of issues - of interest to both professionals working in mental health services as well as the general public. These will include responses to the mental health crisis, the use of mental health legislation, the role of diagnosis in practice, drug treatments, psychotherapy, and recovery from illness.
Join us to gain a better understanding of current controversies in psychiatry, psychiatric disorders, the clinical responses to them and the difficulties that adversely influence care.
