About this event
- Date and time Tue 12 Nov 2024 from 8:45am to 5:00pm
- Location Royal Society of Medicine
- Organised by Paediatrics and Child Health
This event has long been a regular fixture in the annual calendar of healthcare professionals working in the field of cystic fibrosis, and offers the rare and exciting opportunity for the UK CF community to gather in person, here in the UK, for an educational and networking meeting.
Its purpose is to provide an overview of developments in CF care over the past 12 months, with particular focus on areas where there is new research or a high level of clinical interest. It also aims to provide an opportunity for the “next generation” of CF clinicians to present cases and gain experience and education.
By attending, you will:
-
Learn about recent advances in the understanding of, and management of, several aspects of cystic fibrosis including:
-
Lung disease
-
Liver disease
- Diabetes
-
- Understand the current state of gene therapy for cystic fibrosis
- Hear a broad overview of the challenges faced by individuals with cystic fibrosis as they grow older
- Gain additional learning in different aspects of caring for people with CF through the “year in review” and “fellows rounds” sessions
