Facial plating workshop

Mr Jahrad Haq, Consultant, Ashford and St. Peters' Hospital

Many aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires fixation of fractures and osteotomies.  This Consultant lead workshop will teach the basics of bone fixation with demonstrations and supervised practice using state of the art equipment provided by Stryker.

Facial suturing workshop

Mr Arif Rashid, Consultant

This Consultant and Registrar lead hands on session will teach the basics of suturing and tissue handling so vital in surgery. Different suturing techniques will be taught with time for supervised practice.

Career and 2nd degree discussion

Dr Ellie Connor and Mr Milad Tavakoli

This session provides a more informal and intimate setting for delegates after the morning career talk. The session is hosted by Ellie Connor and Milad Tavakoli who are both in their second degree and delegates are invited to ask any question related to the practicalities of building a career in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
