About this event

  • Date and time Fri 6 Jun 2025 from 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Location Royal Society of Medicine
  • Organised by Odontology

This transformative one-day conference will explore the latest technological breakthroughs in health professional education. Recent advancements in 3-D imaging haptically enabled virtual reality simulation, and artificial intelligence are reshaping how we train and support healthcare professionals, presenting both challenges and exciting opportunities.

The event will explore how these innovations can be integrated into educational practices to enhance skills across various health disciplines. Hear from international experts as they share the latest in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and haptics-enhanced, AI-powered technologies — covering how these innovations are reshaping preclinical and clinical training and how future research can drive their clinical translation for enhanced healthcare outcomes.

Participants will gain hands-on experience with VR and haptics-enabled AI tools, enhancing practical knowledge in simulation-based training. Our esteemed speakers will address three interconnected themes, each critical to advancing technology-enabled learning in health education.

By attending this meeting, you will:

  • Learn about digital technologies for better simulation education
  • Enhance your knowledge of VR and Haptic simulation technologies for advancing future surgical skills training and practice
  • Have the opportunity to submit an abstract to participate in Posters, with the chance to win an RSM Section of Odontology Prize
  • Be a part of a panel discussion on curriculum development

Whether you are a health educator, clinician, or student, discover how these technologies can propel training forward, preparing healthcare professionals for the evolving demands of tomorrow’s healthcare landscape.

You are welcome to join us for an optional dinner after the meeting. Click here to book your place.
