A true pioneer in the field, Professor Samii has revolutionised neurosurgery through his groundbreaking work in micro-neurosurgery and the development of skull base surgery. With a distinguished career spanning decades, Professor Samii has held leadership roles in numerous esteemed organisations, including the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS), where he now serves as Honorary President and Ambassador for Africa. His commitment to advancing neurosurgery worldwide has been recognised with prestigious accolades, including the Madjid Samii Medal of Honour, awarded biennially to neurosurgeons for lifetime achievements, and the Chinese Friendship Award.

Open to: Pre-clinical, clinical medical and dental students. Please note that you must be a medical or dental undergraduate to be eligible to submit for this prize.
