We are delighted to invite you to the Royal Society of Medicine Coloproctology Section's 2025 overseas meeting in Barcelona – Reaching new horizons in colorectal surgery.
This premier event in the RSM calendar is hosted by Professor Eloy Espin, at the University Hospital Vall d’Hebron one of the largest tertiary centres in Spain, in collaboration with Mr Ian Jenkins President of the RSM Section of Coloproctology.
The meeting will bring together a leading international faculty to discuss advances, innovation and excellence in colorectal care. This conference will highlight the latest breakthroughs, share best practices, techniques and strategies shaping the future of colorectal surgery.
Set in the dynamic and culturally rich city of Barcelona, this event offers a unique platform to exchange ideas and knowledge, make new connections, and inspire progress in the field. Be part of this experience as we unite to redefine standards and improve outcomes.
The meeting will include live robotic surgery, invited keynote lectures, transformative talks from leaders in the field, a scientific session for trainees and fellows and evening events with a social programme for partners.
Please note: Delegates are advised that you will need to arrange your own flights and accommodation for this meeting.
Day 1 will be held at the Hospital Campus (Home | Vall d'Hebron Barcelona Hospital)
Day 2 will be held at the Artchimboldi centre in L'Eixample (Artchimboldi - A home for business meetings)

Coloproctology Section: Travelling Fellowship
There are 4 travelling fellowships worth £1000 each for trainees towards the cost of travel expenses to attend our overseas meeting:
Abstracts should state briefly and clearly the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions of the work and must not exceed 200 words.

Deadline for submissions: Sunday 30 March 2025
Prize: 4x £1000 towards travel to the 'Reaching new horizons in colorectal surgery - RSM Coloproctology Overseas meeting Barcelona 2025' meeting on 12-13 June 2025. The money will be awarded after the event and upon receipt of travelling expenses.
